CapisTech ("we," "us") publishes technology news and explainers at capistech.net. This policy explains what information this website collects, which third-party services we use and why, how cookies work here, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

• Information you provide directly: your name, email address, and message content if you submit the contact form, or if you email us directly.
• Usage and log data: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page, and timestamps, collected automatically by our hosting provider and by the analytics services described below.
• Cookies and similar identifiers: small files or identifiers set by this site or by the third-party services embedded on it. See "Cookies and Consent" below for the categories we use and how to control them.

We do not currently operate a newsletter, user accounts, or comments, so we do not collect subscription or account data.

Third-Party Services We Use

This site loads the following third-party services. None of them load until you have made a cookie choice through the consent banner described below.

• Google Analytics (measurement ID G-P02KX9RFR2) — helps us understand which articles and pages readers find useful, using cookies and IP-derived approximate location. Loads only if you accept the "Analytics" category. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdSense (publisher ID pub-1995999654690928) — serves the advertising that funds this site. AdSense and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and your approximate location to serve ads and, if you consent, to personalize them. Loads only if you accept the "Advertising" category. • Ahrefs Analytics — a privacy-focused, cookieless web analytics service we use for aggregate traffic measurement. Loads only if you accept the "Analytics" category. See Ahrefs' Privacy Policy.
• FormSubmit — the contact form on this site is delivered by FormSubmit, a third-party form-relay service, directly to our editorial inbox. FormSubmit receives whatever you type into the contact form (name, email, subject, message) solely to deliver it to us; we do not use it for anything beyond replying to you. Cookies and Consent

On your first visit, a banner lets you Accept All, Reject All, or Manage Preferences across three categories:

• Necessary — required for the site to function. CapisTech does not currently set any cookies in this category itself.
• Analytics — Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics, described above.
• Advertising — Google AdSense, described above.

Rejecting Analytics and Advertising does not block access to any article or page on this site. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" button that appears at the bottom-left of every page once you've made an initial choice. Where Google's Consent Mode is supported (Google Analytics), we signal your choice to Google's systems directly.

Browser-level controls (blocking third-party cookies, "Do Not Track," Global Privacy Control) also apply here in addition to our own consent tool, though we cannot guarantee every third party listed above reads every browser signal.

Web Beacons and IP Addresses

The analytics and advertising services listed above may use small transparent images ("web beacons" or "pixels") and your IP address to measure page views and ad delivery. We do not operate any web beacons of our own outside of these third-party services.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to operate and improve this website, understand which content is useful to readers, respond to messages sent through the contact form or by email, and (where you've consented) serve and measure advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share contact-form submissions with anyone other than the FormSubmit service used to deliver them to our inbox.

Data Retention

Contact form messages are retained in our editorial inbox for as long as needed to address the inquiry. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to each provider's own retention settings (see the links above); we do not separately extend or export that data into long-term storage of our own.

Children's Privacy

This site is a general-audience technology news publication and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. You can exercise cookie-based choices at any time via "Cookie Preferences" on this site, opt out of Google's ad personalization at Google Ads Settings, and reach us directly at contact@capistech.net for any other privacy request, including deletion of a message you sent us through the contact form.
